Able Kids Occupational Therapist: As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist working for Able OT, you would be responsible for assessing and providing therapy for a variety of developmental needs. We treat children under 15, many of whom struggle with sensory processing challenges; these families find Able Therapy to be a “lifeline”. Working with families, children, and their school, these challenging roles are rewarding and make a significant change for the future potential of your clients.

Able Kids Speech Pathologist: As a Speech Pathologist you will have the opportunity to learn from well known respected senior mentors in the clinical setting at our North Lakes clinic that offers both OT and SP to children under 15 years with developmental, motor coordination difficulties, challenging behaviors, feeding difficulties and difficulties with ADL’s. There is opportunity to become a feed trained therapist with our specialist senior mentors.

The key responsibilities for these roles will include:

  • Assessing client developmental needs in order to set relevant, appropriate, and specific therapy goals for client treatment;
  • Providing therapy using a variety of service delivery options including individual appointments, transdisciplinary sessions, parent training, and input into early learning groups;
  • Conducting family-centred practice that empowers families to become their child’s best early intervention workers and help them achieve their own goals;
  • Maintaining documentation and correspondence including reports, progress notes, and referral letters;
  • and Reporting as required.
